Life is still to get back to normal. Or, it's more that our new life is becoming normal. Baby Charlie is getting on a sleep schedule now which is amazing. Baby Charlie is now 16 weeks old. I can't believe it!
I've been able to get some things accomplished.
My newest update:
I have opened an Etsy shop. http://www.etsy.com/shop/SaturnVDesigns?ref=pr_shop
We are snowed in here in Georgia right now and we're at the in-laws so I can't even work on sewing projects for my shop! I did, however, bring three projects with me and my machine so being snowed in isn't all bad but the days we'll be stuck outweighs my projects...
Crafty Mama Porter
As I am new to the wonderful world of sewing, I decided a blog would be a good way to motivate me to finish all the projects I have decided I'd like to do.

Yes, I'm back
So I've been gone for a little while. 7 Weeks ago in exactly 2 hours and 24 minutes I gave birth to the most beautiful little boy.

weihing 7 pounds 9 ounces
measuring 20 inches long
At 6 weeks he has really grown!
I am starting to work on Christmas presents! This year everyone on our list is getting something homemade, that I have sewn. I am really excited about this! I have two adults and two children done. I can not say who is receiving each of these because I wouldn't want them to see this! I have people on my list that read this so shhhh... :p I am excited about these though so I want to share. I will be posting mostly Christmas gifts since I only have 1 1/2 months to finish. Here's what I have done so far:
Male and female aprons:
pillow case dresses:
One thing I have done that is not for Christmas is I have learned the art of making soft soled baby shoes! They have gotten some good reviews on Facebook so I thought I'd share here as well:
I hope to have more to report soon!

first blog post...ever...
ok, so I have never had a blog before so this is all new to me. I decided to start this blog because I need motivation.
I am 6 1/2 months pregnant with our first baby. It's a BOY! We are naming him Tracy James and he is due September 15, 2010. I am over the moon excited and can't wait! My "nesting" has turned into a frenzied need to learn to sew and make everything for the baby homemade. We have decided to cloth diaper which is where the sewing thing started. It has now turned into much more than just sewing diapers.
I will be working on a few different projects this weekend: a car seat cover, a tote bag, and a crayon wrap for our nephew. All of which will be posted for all to see my wonky stitches and horrible techniques!
Well, until next time, buh-bye!
